Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse On Call for weekends in Illinois. Responsibilities include coordinating care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and providing compassionate support to patients and families.

Qualifications include an accredited nursing degree, active RN license in Illinois, CPR certification, and at least two years of professional nursing experience. A valid driver’s license and insurance are required.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
Current RN license in the state.
Minimum of two years of varied professional nursing experience.
CPR certification required.
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles.

Responsibilities

Obtain data on factors that may impact patient and family needs and initiate intervention by other team members.
Coordinate care by communicating with the attending physician and interdisciplinary staff.
Perform clinical pronouncement of death and provide family support.
Maintain accurate clinical records with care plans and progress notes.
