Job summary

The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Everett is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (7am–7pm) to lead nursing staff in a long-term care setting. The role includes clinical and managerial decision-making, ensuring quality patient care, and coordinating with regulators.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program required.
• Three years of nursing experience with one year in long term or sub-acute care; one year supervisory experience preferred.
• Current MA State RN or LPN; annual re-licensure; CEU requirements; CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegates responsibilities to staff.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) by authorized agencies.
• Participates in resident assessments and validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Contributes to development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Makes frequent rounds to ensure nursing standards and resident needs are met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Meets with staff regularly to identify and correct problems and improve services.
• Functions in the role of staff nurse or provides direct care as needed.
• Ensures disciplinary actions are fair and non-discriminatory.
