Job summary

Mountain-Laurel-Nursing-and-Rehab in Virginia seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise weekend shifts, oversee resident care, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory compliance in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate and monitor care plans, supervise RNs/LPNs/CNAs, manage documentation in EHRs, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

This role offers a sign-on bonus and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia.
• BSN preferred degree.
• 2–3 years of nursing leadership in long-term care.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of nursing care to meet quality and safety standards.
• Conduct rounds and address resident needs promptly.
• Coordinate and supervise care plan implementation.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate appropriate care and documentation.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs and CNAs during shifts; provide guidance.
• Ensure proper shift hand-offs and inter-team communication.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and regulatory readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, rehab, and dietary teams.
