Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse Weekend Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and clinical operations during weekend shifts in a skilled nursing facility.

You will mentor RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, ensure care plans are followed, and coordinate with physicians and family members to maintain high-quality care and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership, documentation in EHRs, and responsive patient care, with a sign-on bonus and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• 2–3 years of nursing experience in long-term care or geriatric setting.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations, infection control, and care planning.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of nursing care to ensure quality, safety, and resident dignity.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain accurate documentation in EHRs.
• Monitor medication administration and assist with complex treatments as needed.
• Coordinate communication between staff, residents, families, physicians and external providers.
