Job summary

Southampton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor (RN/LPN) to lead nursing staff on Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., with on-call Fridays. The role offers $38–$47 per hour, all-inclusive, plus daily pay.

The supervisor will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support care planning in a 196-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting. Candidates must hold an active RN or LPN license in Virginia and a current BLS CPR

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Virginia.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Minimum five years nursing experience in healthcare with 1–2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and guidelines for care centers.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Oversee daily nursing operations for safe, person-centered care delivery.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and coaching as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Coordinate resident care plans and ensure timely interdisciplinary communication.
• Support accurate documentation per clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to clinical concerns and assist in resolving issues involving residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support clinical goals.

Qualifications for Nurse Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN or LPN license in the state of va.

• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting, with at least one (1) to two (2) years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care centers.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate with team members.

• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and high standards of care.
