Job summary

Southampton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Virginia is seeking an RN/LPN Supervisor to lead clinical teams, oversee daily nursing operations, and ensure compliant, person-centered resident care. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Weekend shift and on-call Friday reflect the schedule. The supervisor will mentor staff, coordinate care plans, document accurately, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance resident

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active RN or LPN license in Virginia.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare setting, with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws and guidelines for nursing care centers.
• Effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support facility-wide clinical goals.

Qualifications for Nurse Supervisor

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN or LPN license in the state of Virginia.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home, or other healthcare setting, with at least one (1) to two (2) years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care centers.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and external agencies.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining accountability and high standards of care.
