Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to manage a long-term care patient area in Bishop, GA. You will oversee shift activities, ensure high quality patient care, and comply with all regulatory requirements.

• Must hold an active RN license issued by the Georgia State Nursing Board.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Capable of maintaining professional relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and efficient management of a long-term care patient area and/or nursing department shift.
• Plans and directs activities of assigned staff and oversees quality patient care execution.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing care.
• Administers and records medications following physician orders; records vitals and collects specimens as directed.

Examples of Duties Performed:

• Responsible for the safe and efficient management of a long-term care patient area and/or nursing department shift.
• Plans and directs the activities of assigned staff and oversees the execution of quality patient care.
• Complies with current federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing care in the execution of assigned duties.
• Administers and records medications following physician orders and established center policy; takes and records patient vital signs and collects laboratory specimens as directed.
• Provides emotional support to patient and their families.

Requirements:
