Job summary

Autumn Lake Healthcare in Norwalk is seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing services on weekends, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with the Nursing Director for shift operations. You will adjust care plans with medical staff and supervise LPNs/CNAs to deliver high-quality resident care.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Connecticut RN license and 1–2 years of clinical experience, with weekend coverage 7am-7pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Weekend Nurse Supervisor preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with active Connecticut license.
• Connecticut RN license required.
• At least 1–2 years of clinical experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planning, overseeing, and executing nursing services for residents while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Collaborating with the Nursing Director to strategize nursing service operations and emergency support provisions for shifts.
• Adjusting care plans in collaboration with medical staff to address emergency medical needs.
• Ensuring adequate relief staff availability before leaving the facility and notifying residents' personal physicians in case of significant changes in their condition or immediate medical care needs.
• Handle admission of new residents.
• Overseeing and guiding LPNs and CNAs in delivering quality care.
• Work independently with attention to detail and possess knowledge of all aspects of daily operations.
