Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking Intake Nurses for the Weekend Day Shift at our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. You will manage the full medical intake, perform nursing duties, coordinate medications, and support coordinated care with clinical teams.

The role requires a nursing diploma, in-state licensure (or multi-state with compact privileges), and addiction treatment experience. Strong communication and a compassionate approach are essential to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school.
• Current in-state nursing license (or compact licensure).
• Addiction treatment experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Compassionate, respectful demeanor aligned with recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment.
• Complete nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, scheduling, lab work).
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, keep logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical and UR teams for coordinated care.
• Ensure complete, timely medical documentation for each client.

Now hiring Intake Nurses for the Weekend Day Shift (Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7a - 7p) for our residential facility in Indianapolis, Indiana!

What You'll Do

• Manage complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment
• Complete all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, scheduling appt.s and lab work etc.)
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep accurate med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams for total coordination of care
• Ensure complete, timely and accurate medical documentation for each client

What We're Looking For

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
• Current licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Addiction related experience required
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented, with ability to multitask and work efficiently
• Compassionate and dignified character which models recovery principles
