We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN or LPN Nurse Manager to lead our team on weekends. This is a vital leadership position where you will have 24-hour accountability, working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
You will serve as the primary clinical and operational liaison between our units and the Director of Nursing. You will be responsible for all weekend clinical operations, ensuring full compliance with our policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. A key part of your role will be to mentor and guide our nursing staff, facilitating effective communication between shifts and departments to create a cohesive team. In the absence of the DON, you will assume their duties and responsibilities, overseeing administrative tasks and providing hands-on clinical support when needed. Your leadership will be crucial in promoting a culture of safety, quality improvement, and professional development.
Clinical Leadership: Conduct daily rounds to observe patients and ensure their needs are met, provide patient care when required, and monitor nursing care to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
Administrative Oversight: Assist the DON with staffing, budgeting, and performance evaluations. You will also recommend and facilitate employee promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Quality & Compliance: Lead our quality improvement process, ensuring that patient care plans are implemented and followed. You will also investigate and address any patient accidents, incidents, or grievances in accordance with our policies.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with other departments to provide timely and effective care, foster a strong partnership with the medical staff, and ensure a safe and thorough discharge planning process.
