Job summary

Q LLC in Dover, NH is seeking a seasoned Quality Inspector to join the week-night shift inspection team. You will perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections, working with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to maintain production flow and meet quality requirements.

The role requires hands-on CMM operation, GD&T expertise, ASME Y14.5, and the ability to read complex drawings, certifications, and inspection docs. You’ll document results and support MRB actions to minimize delays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years quality inspection experience in precision machining or similar manufacturing.
• Hands-on CMM experience and ability to independently set up inspections.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specs, and certifications.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, thread gauges, etc.
• Experience in AS9100/ISO 9001 or similar QMS.
• Attention to detail and accurate inspection documentation.
• Ability to work independently on week-night shift and follow Monday-Thursday schedule.
• U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections of precision-machined components.
• Operate CMM equipment and document inspection results.
• Set up and run CMM programs and ensure calibration.
• Apply GD&T to evaluate true position, profile, concentricity, and runout.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, and other metrology tools.
• Conduct visual inspections for surface finish and workmanship.
• Complete inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
• Identify nonconforming material and support MRB actions.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Support AS9100 activities and customer inspections.
