Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is hiring Packaging Machine Operators for the Weekend Night Shift. You will set up and run packaging lines, monitor quality, and assist maintenance as needed, with a focus on accurate records and safe operation.

The role requires Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, basic reading/writing/mathematics, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Forklift training is provided; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Able to work Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Read and understand English instructions and communicate with maintenance.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to obtain forklift license (training provided).
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Knowledge of packaging machine equipment preferred, training provided.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks at shift start and throughout the day.
• Monitor packaging quality (weights, seals, codes, pricing).
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance.
• Keep accurate production, film usage, and quality records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate with next shift and support cross-line teamwork.
• Train new operators as needed.
