Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is expanding and seeking Packaging Machine Operators for the Weekend Day Shift. The role offers Friday to Sunday 6PM-6AM hours, a 4-day workweek, and growth opportunities within a household-name company.

As part of a safety-conscious team, you will set up lines, run packaging operations, monitor quality, and document production. Training is provided for forklift operation and equipment knowledge.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions and communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packaging lines safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine checks at shift start and throughout the day to ensure machines are running properly.
• Monitor packaging quality (weights, seals, codes, pricing).
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and support maintenance as needed.
• Keep accurate records of production, film usage, and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate with the next shift and support teamwork across lines.
• Train new operators as needed.
