Responsibilities

• The Security Officer provides security services to VCUHS by courteously assisting staff, visitors and patients; enforcing rules and regulations of the hospitals; projecting a positive image; and promoting a safe healthcare environment.
• De-escalates agitated patients and prevents potentially risky or violent situations.
• Prolonged standing and walking as part of daily duties, with flexibility for extended hours based on schedule and organizational needs.
