Job summary

Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private 108 bed psychiatric facility that serves children, adolescents and adults. We are licensed by the State of Michigan, fully accredited by The Joint Commission and we bring more than 45 years of experience to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health problems.

This is a Part time, 24 hours a week position (12 Hour Shifts- 7:00am-7:30pm).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan.
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff on the unit.
• Acts as back-up point of contact for direction of other unit staff.
• Provides leadership in crisis behavioral management.
• Develops initial nursing treatment plans for admitted patients.
• Assesses, plans, and delivers care for patients with co-occurring disorders, trauma, and eating disorders.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu on the unit.
• Assists with discharge planning and follow-up with patients.
• Leads crisis behavioral management teams.
