Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Production Supervisor for the Weekend Night Shift at our Savanna, IL facility. You will lead production staff, oversee safety, quality, output, workflow, and continuous improvement within an assigned area.

You will coach and develop employees while helping the operation meet production goals efficiently and safely. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in production/manufacturing, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in production/manufacturing, including 2+ years in supervision.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Ability to read schedules and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production employees, directing daily work involving machinery operation, assembly, quality checks, and packaging.
• Coach, train, and develop employees to strengthen skills, performance, teamwork, and development.
• Monitor output and performance to meet quantity, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Coordinate work across shifts and departments to maintain workflow and deadlines.
• Identify equipment issues and escalate to maintenance or engineering to minimize downtime.
• Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with production planning to ensure materials are available.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and support safety, 5S, and quality policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement and complete production docs on time.
