Job summary

Kindred Hospital Louisville at Jewish Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant for the Full-Time Weekend Option Nightshift. The role supports licensed staff by assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, and routine care to patients in a 30-bed long-term acute care setting.

As part of the care team, you will help with admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures, maintain patient rooms, and respond to call lights under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or demonstrated ability to perform essential functions.
• Basic lifesaving knowledge and hospital environment familiarity is preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Performs routine clinical tasks under supervision of RN.
• Takes vital signs and records measurements accurately.
• Prepares patient rooms and equipment for admissions and transfers.
• Responds to patient call lights and paging system promptly.
• Transports patients as needed and assists with discharge procedures.
• Assists with basic treatments under RN direction.
