Job summary

Mass General Brigham's McLean SouthEast (MSE) unit is seeking a weekend night shift Nursing Assistant to deliver direct patient care to adults with psychiatric disorders on a General Adult Unit. This part-time, onsite role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining therapeutic milieu, advocating for patients, and collaborating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Data Conversion – Various Issuers preferred.
• Experience: 0–1 year preferred but not required.
• Knowledge and Abilities: ability to collaborate, operate EHR, manage priorities, communicate with patients and families, and complete CPI training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol patients.
• Advocate for patients who may be vulnerable or need additional support.
• Provide Parent/Family counseling, including Parent Management Training and Family Systems interventions.
• Adhere to guidelines for patients on special status (suicide, sexual abuse or AWOL precautions).
• Complete and file all documentation in a timely manner.
