Job summary

BAMSI in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated nurse to join our community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs, developmental disabilities, and mental health challenges. You will provide direct care, monitor health, and support residents and their families.

This role supports a Saturday-Sunday overnight schedule (12am-8am) with opportunities for training and career development; experience in mental health and a compassionate, team-driven approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Required: Active LPN license in MA, driver’s license, and reliable car.
• Preferred: Active RN license in MA, driver’s license, and reliable car.
• Experience: Supporting mental health needs (personal or professional).
• Skills: Clear communication, basic computer use, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Medical & Medication Oversight - Manage medical care and medications for persons served, including training staff on safe medication practices in compliance with DPH MAP.
• Crisis Intervention - Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
• Staff Training - Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
• Compliance - Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.
