Job summary

BAMSI, based in Worcester, MA, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (SASNM) to support community-based group homes for adults with complex medical needs. The role offers on-site work in Worcester with a Monday-Friday 8am-4pm schedule and a salary range of $32-$35 hourly.

You will oversee medical care and medications, train staff on safety practices, respond to crises, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with a dedicated care team. A valid MA LPN license is required.

Qualifications

• Required: Active LPN license in MA, driver’s license, and reliable car.
• Preferred: Active RN license in MA, driver's license, and reliable car.
• Experience: Supporting mental health needs (personal or professional).
• Skills: Clear communication, basic computer use, and teamwork.
• Language: Must be fluent in English, Multilingual a bonus!

Responsibilities

• Medical & Medication Oversight - Manage medical care and medications for persons served, including training staff on safe medication practices in compliance with MAP.
• Crisis Intervention - Respond to emergencies and de-escalate crises with persons served.
• Staff Training - Train staff on health/safety rules and document incidents as required.
• Compliance - Keep programs up to date with medical and medication laws, including paperwork and inspections.
