Job summary

Children's of Alabama's Critical Care Cardiac Care Unit on Main Campus Harbert Tower seeks a staff nurse to provide bedside care with minimal supervision, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on a 16-bed telemetry unit. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday nights, 7p–7a, with 12‑hour shifts.

Requires graduate of an accredited nursing program, current BLS, and Alabama RN licensure; AS Nursing degree is listed. Experience in cardiac telemetry preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN).
• Current BLS certification.
• Current RN license in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Care Unit, including assessment, interventions, and reassessments.
• Plan, implement, educate, and evaluate patient care; document accurately in medical records.
