KXII-TV/Gray Media is seeking a weekend news producer to lead broadcast and digital production in Texoma. The role includes producing weekend newscasts and supporting digital platforms, with responsibilities spanning writing, editing, and social media duties.

The ideal candidate has newsroom experience, strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with the weekend anchor.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism or related field preferred.
• Some newsroom/newscast (college included) experience.
• Competent news writer and video editor.
• Working knowledge of digital news and social media.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve success.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary broadcast producer for station's weekend newscasts.
• Serve as digital producer on weekends.
• Help manage station social media accounts, especially on weekends.
• Serve as associate producer three weeknights per week (produces 9p FOX newscast).
• Pick up other newscasts and digital duties as needed (including holidays).
• Newswriting (for both broadcast and digital).
• Video editing.
• Boothing/timing newscasts.
• Working closely with weekend anchor to coordinate news coverage/reporters.

Job Summary/Description:

KXII 12, the market leader in the Texoma region, is looking to add a weekend news producer to our award-winning team. In addition to serving as broadcast and digital producer on weekends, this role also includes producing newscasts, as well as to our digital platforms, three weeknights per week.
