Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Social Worker (MSW) for a part-time weekend role. This position supports inpatient floors and the emergency department, performing non-clinical biopsychosocial assessments and interventions.

You will collaborate with care teams, address barriers to discharge, provide emotional support, and assist with post-acute placement and referrals for financial assistance. Training will occur Mon-Fri for the first 6-9 weeks.

Qualifications

• Requires a Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Two years hospital experience preferred; LMSW license required; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for inpatients and ED patients.
• Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients to financial assistance and resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, insurance, and care teams to address barriers to discharge.
