Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program required.
• 0-2 years of clinical MRI experience required.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or ARMRIT certification or eligible and obtained within 12 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
• Reviews MRI patient questionnaires and histories to identify contraindications and ensure safety.
• Operates MRI and processing equipment, following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Educates and prepares patients for MRI exams, addressing questions to ensure comfort.
• Maintains MRI safety standards and verifies patient/staff readiness before entering scan areas.
• Documents clinical history with exam findings for radiologist review.
• Maintains inventory of MRI supplies and equipment, ensuring sterility and availability.
• Verifies physician orders and patient identification before starting procedures.
• Collaborates with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize imaging results.
• Monitors MRI equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
• Provides instructions and support to patients during and after exams.
