Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock, TX is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a full-time weekend shift (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).

The role performs diagnostic MRI procedures, ensures safety screenings, and maintains high-quality images under Radiologist supervision. This hospital-based position offers comprehensive benefits, PTO from Day 1, tuition reimbursement and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• MRI examinations performed according to physician orders, established protocols and department standards.
• Review imaging requests and patient histories to confirm the correct MRI examination is performed on the correct patient.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including patient history, pregnancy status, consent forms and safety-screening information.

Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and department standards.
• Review imaging requests and patient histories.
• Conduct MRI safety screenings for patients, visitors and team members.
• Explain MRI procedures and help patients feel comfortable during the examination.
• Position patients accurately and select appropriate coils, sequences and equipment settings.
• Monitor image quality and adjust settings to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
• Maintain MRI equipment and work areas per quality standards.
• Enter and maintain imaging records in medical imaging systems.
