Job summary

Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a Weekend Program MRI Technologist to join a high‑performing radiology team. You will operate MRI equipment, perform a wide range of advanced exams, and ensure safety and accuracy across cardiac, neuro, body, and musculoskeletal imaging.

The role offers 36 hours per week, a competitive pay range, and a full benefits package, with no on‑call requirements and holiday rotation only when weekends are affected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates magnetic resonance (MR) equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains patient history and verifies exam orders; administers contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Positions patient and selects scanning factors; ensures image quality and safety.
• Post-processes images and labels files with patient identifiers and scan location.
• Maintains records and enters data into radiology information system; codes procedures for charges.
• Performs QA tests and reports equipment issues; evaluates new products and equipment.
• Performs patient positioning and lifting/transferring as needed; adheres to safety protocols.
• Demonstrates age-specific care knowledge and applies department policies.
