Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health in Richmond, VA seeks an MRI Technologist for a weekend incentive program. Shifts are Sat & Sun 7:00 AM–7:30 PM with variable weekday hours, totaling 32 hours weekly (3x12s).

The role performs MRI procedures and manages contrast administration under ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT guidelines, with BLS required. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of MRI protocols, patient safety, image processing, and efficient clinical workflow.

Qualifications

• ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience with contrast administration.
• Ability to perform routine and complex MRI studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols.
• Administer contrast agents safely and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout examinations.
• Complete post-processing, image display, and transfer for physician review.
• Document deviations from protocol and ensure timely order closure.
