Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Physician Assistants to join as independent contractors providing health readiness services to military service members under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP).

Primary duties include weekend work with occasional weekday shifts, reviewing medical history and records, interviewing service members, and documenting readiness classifications in a proprietary system. Travel to remote installations and a background check with E-Verify are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast paced environments with high patient throughput.
• Able to work extended hours.
• Able to travel and work at remote military installations, including weekends.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using a proprietary system.
