  • Contributes creative and strategic ideas for service and event experiences while partnering with Communications on the visual identity and creative work entrusted to that department
  • Builds relationships across campuses and departments, occasionally visiting campus weekend services to understand the local experience, gather feedback, and strengthen alignment
  • Trains, encourages, and leads Serve Team members in person for assigned programming and event-day roles, partnering with the Coordinator on recruiting, scheduling, and communication
  • Participates in planning meetings and leads programming rehearsals and run-throughs in partnership with Worship and Live Production
  • Helps evaluate service and event flow, volunteer readiness, and the congregant experience, and recommends practical improvements for future weekends and MMEs
  • Partners well with departments responsible for related work, communicating needs early and helping develop workable solutions together
  • Is present and actively serving at weekend services, including occasional campus visits, and at churchwide events as the ministry calendar requires
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

As a member of the Gateway Church team, this position is expected to support, recruit, and develop Serve Team members, and to serve alongside the broader team as ministry and organizational needs arise.

  • Ability to prepare run of show, communicate live cues, and lead confidently as a floor manager
  • Comfortable working with Worship, Live Production, Communications, and other departments on shared outcomes and their respective areas of expertise
  • Calm, adaptable, and solution-oriented when live plans change; able to assess tradeoffs and respond with a positive, practical approach
  • Able to move between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution during services and events
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to hold several priorities at once
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn and function within new software and systems
