Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking a Merchandising Lead to oversee the workflow of assigned merchandising teams and collaborate with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure excellent customer service. This role assists in training new Merchandisers and maintaining strong relationships with store personnel and delivery teams.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to state liquor laws and company core values. Local travel may be involved.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow of assigned merchandising team.
• Monitor and recommend on sales, delivery and merchandising service levels in the retail marketplace.
• Assist with customer calls, complaints and issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive relationships and direct communication with store personnel, and sales and delivery teams.
• Work with Merchandising Supervisor to resolve customer service issues.
• Train, support and evaluate needs with merchandising and sales team members.
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Rotate product on an ongoing basis.
• Assist with merchandising store as needed.
• Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws.
• Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Company's Core Values.
• Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned.

Summary

Our Merchandising Leads play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. The Merchandising Lead is responsible for overseeing the workflow of assigned merchandising teams. The Lead works closely with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure customers receive excellent customer service. This position assists with training new Merchandisers as they learn the essential job functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow of assigned merchandising team

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, and may include weekends and overtime as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous grocery or retail experience


• Six (6) months merchandising experience

Compensation

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
