Columbia Distributing in Poulsbo, WA is seeking a Merchandising Lead to oversee the workflow of assigned merchandising teams and work closely with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure customers receive excellent service. You will help train new Merchandisers and coordinate daily merchandising operations on-site in the retail market.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to state labor laws and liquor regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Must own/operate a mobile smartphone device.
• Previous grocery or retail merchandising experience preferred.
• Six months merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary

Our Merchandising Leads play a pivotal role at Columbia Distributing. The Merchandising Lead is responsible for overseeing the workflow of assigned merchandising teams. The Lead works closely with the Merchandising Supervisor to ensure customers receive excellent customer service. This position assists with training new Merchandisers as they learn the essential job functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee workflow of assigned merchandising team


• Monitor and make recommendations regarding sales, delivery and merchandising service levels in the retail market place


• Provide assistance with customer calls, complaints and issues in a timely manner


• Maintain positive relationships and direct communication with store personnel, and sales and delivery teams


• Work with Merchandising Supervisor to resolve customer service issues


• Work with merchandising and sales team members on a continual basis to train, support and evaluate needs


• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job


• Rotate product on an ongoing basis


• Assist with merchandising store as needed


• Accurately clock in and out, adhering to state labor laws


• Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations


• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times


• Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, and may include weekends and overtime as necessary.

Required Education and Experience

Compensation

• Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
