Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is seeking a Merchandiser to stock beverage products in retail accounts in Champaign, IL. You will ensure shelves, end caps, racks, and displays are filled and rotate stock for freshness, with a 5 am start on weekends.

You’ll transport products between backroom and sales floor using pallet jacks or other equipment, build displays, monitor inventory, and maintain professional relationships with store personnel while meeting company standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred and minimum of one year of work experience required.
• Minimum of one year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor or related field is required.
• Must be 18 years of age and legally eligible to work.
• Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours and valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and replenish products in store shelves, racks, displays, and coolers via transport to the sales floor, using manual or powered equipment.
• Build, change, or remove product displays per company standards and maintain signage and signage cleanliness.
• Manage backroom inventory, monitor levels, and report findings with store accounts using FIFO practices.
• Evaluate damaged product, re-pack, organize backstock, and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate with account teams and store personnel; share recap photos and coordinate with sales on stock and issues.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
