American Senior Communities is seeking an Activities Assistant to bring heart and care to residents on weekends and full-time shifts. You will lead engaging activities, support resident well-being, and collaborate with team members to welcome new teammates.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred.
• CNA certification is preferred; open to getting CNA certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a positive teammate to fellow employees by helping onboard new teammates.
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities, enhancing their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
• Use your passion for serving others to motivate residents to take an active part in their own health and wellness.
• Carry out activities for residents based on their varied backgrounds, areas of concern, needs and enjoyment.
• Recruit, organize, train and recognize volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program, while including as many residents as possible.
• Involve resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to increase overall participation.
