Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich residents' lives with warmth, patience, and genuine care. You will help create a joyful, engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard and valued.

Responsibilities include planning activities, supporting residents’ emotional and social needs, and collaborating with the care team to ensure holistic well-being. Both full-time and part-time roles may be available.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive presence to residents, building trust and comfort.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that accommodate varying cognitive and physical abilities.
• Collaborate with the care team to enrich daily routines and promote residents’ well-being.
