Job summary

Oakmont of Orange is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents, following nursing standards and the company’s policies. The role includes direct personal care, encouraging residents to participate in activities, and coordinating with housekeepers and maintenance staff to uphold our service standards.

Qualifications include a preference for 1 year of RCFE medication assistance, 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and MS

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year of RCFE medication assistance experience.
• State regulations may require training or certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, physicians, residents.
• Criminal background check and health screening required.
• COVID-19 or other PPE precautions may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
