Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver for weekend shifts in Somerset, NJ. The role requires driving a company vehicle to transport medical materials and specimens, with a weekend differential of $1.00/hr.

You will participate in a comprehensive training program and enjoy benefits including medical plans, 401(k), and paid time off. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, pass drug screening, and maintain a clean driving

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3+ years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and devices used in operations.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Drive non-commercial vehicle across varying routes and weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history required.
• COVID-19 vaccination depending on location and mandates.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to lift items from storage racks and walk/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, and related materials in company vehicles.
• Use a handheld scanner to track items through transportation cycles.
• Observe policies, procedures and schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload materials with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe driving and courteous behavior.
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep vehicle clean.
• Adapt to route changes based on client needs.
