Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver for weekend shifts in Knightdale, NC. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with a weekend differential of +$1.00/hr on top of the base $16.00/hr pay.

You will operate a company vehicle, transport medical items, and ensure safe, timely deliveries across routes. Candidates should be 19+, possess a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years, and demonstrate dependable, compliant, and tech-savvy

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift in varying weather and road conditions.
• Must have an excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Able to handle varying item weights and physical demands; routes may vary.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, and supplies.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and conduct.
• Load and unload items with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
• Adapt to route changes as required by client and business needs.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and clients to support operations.
• Foster a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
