Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
• Current IA RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• BLS required; ACLS certification per policy.
• Nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• High degree of empathetic listening skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the health care team to provide safe patient outcomes.
• Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family.
• Directs the work of support staff in the provision of care.
• Performs general nursing duties with critical thinking and minimal supervision.
• Cares for age-specific populations from neonate to geriatric.
