Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support Production Operations by maintaining and repairing plant equipment including air compressors, stamping presses, and production support equipment. The role operates on a Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, in Columbus, OH.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent and have about 3 years of related maintenance experience, with strong mechanical and electrical skills, plus a commitment to

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years' related maintenance technician experience and/or training.
• Mechanical: troubleshoot and repair equipment; read/interpret mechanical drawings.
• Electrical: size electrical circuits; read/interpret electrical schematics.
• Accountability/Dependability: punctual, follows instructions and policies.
• Math: basic arithmetic and data interpretation.
• Language: read/write/speak effectively at work.
• Reasoning: solve practical problems with varied instructions.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, troubleshoot, start-up, and maintain plant equipment.
• Integrate existing and new equipment as needed.
• Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot machines and equipment.
• Communicate technical issues to maintenance, facilities and operations management.
• Manage day-to-day activities of work orders and PMs.
• Train and mentor technicians.
