Job summary

Job Haines Home For Aged People is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to help maintain the facility and its equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. You will follow schedules, perform basic repairs, and assist with building upkeep to support resident comfort.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of maintenance experience (preferably in long-term care), and ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year previous maintenance experience required; preferred in long-term care facilities.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Follow oral and written directions and maintenance schedules.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and facilities as directed.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical tasks per established procedures.
• Monitor and service safety systems (fire extinguishers, alarms, lighting).
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and report hazards to the Director of Maintenance.
