Job summary

Protolabs in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues, complete repairs, support equipment installations, and help improve uptime.

Shift is weekend; exact days to be worked on Sat and Sun. You will work independently on routine tasks and with guidance on complex troubleshooting, while adhering to safety and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical schooling or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge up to 480V; experience with motors, starters, relays, and VFDs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize work under production pressure.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on machine tools including cleaning, lubrication, filter changes, belt replacement, adjustments, and basic repairs.
• Become proficient with more complex repairs as required.
• Complete occasional CAD projects within Facilities and maintenance.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of CMMS program.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards and maintain organized workspace.
• Continuously seek to improve processes and ensure compliance with policies.
