Job summary

Just Born, Inc. is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the safe, reliable operation of processing and packaging equipment at our Bethlehem facility.

You will drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability, safety, and quality while coordinating with the Maintenance Manager and sanitation teams on weekend coverage and priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience across multiple technical areas (machining, electrical, hydraulics, boilers, packaging).
• Manufacturing experience in confection, food, beverage, or FMCG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support weekend maintenance associates; set priorities and directions.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities, staffing, and resources to meet shift priorities.
• Oversee troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Position Summary:

The Weekend Maintenance Supervisor will lead weekend maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable performance of processing and packaging equipment. Provides hands-on leadership to a team of unionized maintenance associates, guiding real-time troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.

Sets clear expectations around safety, quality, and operational standards while developing team capability and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability.

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Schedule: Weekends (Saturday, Sunday & Monday)

Shift: Days (4:00 pm -4:30 am)

How You’ll Impact Results:

Lead People & Coordinate Work

• Lead, coach, and support weekend maintenance associates by setting clear priorities, expectations, and direction
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative work environment
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities, staffing, and resources to meet shift priorities
• Provide guidance to sanitation associates on weekends and support coverage as needed
• Partner with the Maintenance Manager to assess staffing needs and provide input on resource planning
• Supervise project and maintenance work using internal teams and contract resources
• Support associate development through training, coaching, and mentoring

Ensure Equipment Uptime

• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate resources to resolve equipment issues
• Support maintenance shutdowns, CIP, sanitation, and new equipment installations
• Oversee fabrication projects and partner with engineering and facilities as needed

Drive Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with GMP , SQF, and plant safety standards
• Identify and implement improvements to maintenance productivity, safety, and quality
• Develop and improve standardized work instructions and job aids
• Communicate shift priorities and outcomes to operations and maintenance partners

Your Qualifications That Will Ensure Success :

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required .
• Technical, vocational, or associate degree preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance experience , preferably across multiple technical areas such as machining, electrical controls, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, packaging equipment, or process systems
• Manufacturing experience required , preferably within the confection, food, beverage, or CPG / Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry

Leadership & Skills

• Experience leading or coaching teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to plan work, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs
• Comfort using CMMS systems, mobile technology, and standard computer applications

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to move throughout plant and office environments
• Ability to communicate clearly and perform essential job functions
• Ability to work extended hours or additional days as business needs require
• Ability to safely use hand tools, test equipment, and computer systems
