Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc is seeking a Weekend Machine Shop Supervisor to lead a CNC manufacturing team in Alamo, Tennessee. You will ensure safe operations, meet production goals, and drive on-time delivery while coaching team members and resolving daily production challenges.

The role offers weekend 12-hour shifts (Friday–Sunday) with options for Weekend Nights or Weekend Days, and opportunities to develop leadership skills within a global technology leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining operations.
• 2+ years of experience leading a CNC machine shop team.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
• Experience with G code programming and editing.

• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Assign daily work and support team member training.
• Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, scrap rates and OEE.
• Review and enter hourly team member time records.
• Resolve production, technical, and material flow issues.
• Use production data to answer questions and support decisions.

• Address workplace concerns and help resolve conflict effectively.
• Model safety, integrity, and care for your colleagues.
• Deliver high level of quality in the parts being machined.

• At least two years of experience leading a CNC machine shop team.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Experience with G code programming and editing
