Job summary

Los Angeles Skills Academy in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Weekend Class Nurse Instructor (LVN or RN) to teach the Nurse Assistant Training program. The instructor will plan, teach and evaluate participants in classroom and clinical skills, ensuring the program meets California state regulations and the Red Cross NAT standards.

This part-time weekend position offers a 7am-3:30pm schedule with a pay rate of $35-$38 per hour and a supportive, accredited learning environment that blends

Qualifications

• Current license RN or LVN in California.
• Two years’ nursing experience with at least one year in long term care, hospital/hospice/nursing home/assisted living acceptable.
• Adult education experience preferred or DSD Certificate (can be online as a 24 hour class).
• Must meet state minimum nursing and teaching experience requirements for instructors.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in the NAT program; plan, teach and evaluate participants in classroom and clinical skills.
• Ensure a quality program that meets state regulations and compliance standards.
• Meet expectations for course participants.
