Job summary

UPMC Muncy is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Weekend Program (2MN Acute Care). The position covers 48 weekends per year, with 24 hours per weekend (Fri 3pm–Mon 7am) and every other holiday, with a preference for weekend night shifts.

The role supports IV therapy and med/surg/tele care within UPMC LPN guidelines. Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, planning and documenting care, and providing patient teaching, while taking accountability for safe, high-quality

Qualifications

• LPN license in good standing and eligibility for Pennsylvania nursing practice.
• Ability to provide nursing care with sound judgment in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work weekend and night shifts as required.
• Experience with med/surg/telemetry or emergency department care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a med/surg/tele or ED setting under supervision.
• Communicate with the care team to ensure patient safety and effective care.
• Formulate daily goals and plans of care with patient involvement.
• Teach patients and families, document care, and adhere to guidelines.
