Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is hiring a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at the Divine Providence Campus. The role is 20 hours weekly, evening shifts, with alternating weekends and holidays. A generous sign-on bonus is offered to successful candidates.

New graduates and experienced LPNs have sign-on bonuses, with details provided at offer. The LPN will provide patient care within UPMC guidelines, including IV therapy and collaboration with the health-care team.

Qualifications

• Complete an LPN program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
• IV therapy curriculum completed within 4 months of hire/transfer.
• Maintain LPN licensure and comply with state practice acts and UPMC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN direction in med/surg/tele or Emergency Department settings.
• Plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using focused assessment and patient-centered goals.
• Communicate patient conditions to the care team and document thoroughly.
• Teach patients and families and support orientation of new LPN staff.
