Job summary

National Health Care Associates’ Cambridge location in Fairfield, CT is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for part-time weekend shifts. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.

You’ll supervise CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to a compassionate, patient-focused environment that supports aging residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with valid state license.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and chronically ill.
• Strong clinical skills including administration of medications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and medical information
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Providing wound care and other nursing interventions as needed
• Supervising and supporting CNAs in delivering care
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols
