Job summary
Shaw Industries is seeking a Lift Truck Operator II I for the Saturday-Sunday shift in Ringgold, GA. The role requires moving pallets with a forklift, preparing shipments, completing paperwork, and maintaining clean shipping/receiving areas.
Employees are expected to read shipping documents, perform basic math, and train on powered equipment. Overtime including weekends is required; attendance policies apply.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and comprehend shipping documents
- Ability to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Must be able to work overtime including weekends
- Must be able to see small numbers and words on a computer screen
- Must adhere to corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy
- Will train to operate all Product powered industrial equipment and pallets handling
Responsibilities
- Receiving a pull task with information on the product to be retrieved
- Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from locations
- Complete paperwork as required
- Wrap and band product prepared on pallets
- Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment
- Tape and repair any damaged packaging
- Must assist in keeping shipping/receiving areas clean
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend shipping documents, bin locations, and store orders
