Job summary

Desert Peaks in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant (Activities Assistant) for Saturdays and Sundays 9-5 to support the Life Enrichment Director and the CRD, helping create engaging resident experiences.

You will set up activities, take attendance, log participation, distribute weekly bulletins and monthly schedules, maintain activity areas, assist with welcome gifts, and support marketing events while upholding safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Commitment to elder care and compassionate service.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to pass health and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist LED in setting up and preparing activities.
• Take attendance of residents attending an activity.
• Keep a log for each resident with activity records.
• Distribute weekly bulletin prepared by the LED.
• Distribute monthly activity schedules prepared by the LED.
• Maintain activity areas after each activity and before end of shift.
• Assist Life Enrichment Director with other duties as requested.
• Maintain a current driver’s license to serve as alternate transport driver when needed.
• Assist Marketing in Lead Generating events.
• Assist in selecting personalized welcome home gifts for new residents.
