Castle Peak in Eagle, CO is seeking an Activities Assistant to design and run engaging activities for residents in a skilled nursing and assisted living setting. You will help create a vibrant life program, guiding participants through group and individual activities while supporting family engagement.

The role requires a self-motivated, creative individual with strong communication skills and a passion for enhancing residents' well-being in a long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience in health/human services preferred.
• Experience in therapeutic activity departments preferred.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Desire to work with older adults in long-term care.
• Ability to manage diverse individuals and large projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor leisure activities for residents in both individual and group settings.
• Encourage, support, and assist residents to pursue individual interests.
• Coordinate weekend, evening, and holiday events.
• Maintain open relationships with residents' families/guardians.
• Observe and document activity attendance, mood, and involvement.
• Transport residents to activities of their choosing.
• Coordinate meetings and record minutes.
• Act as a positive representative of the facility at all times.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining volunteer programs.
